New Britain – Connecticut Republican Party Chairman Jerry Labriola, Jr. released the following statement today in regards to the Redistricting Committee vote.

“The newly agreed upon Senate and House district seats are a great step towards fair representation in Hartford.

“We have witnessed what happens when the interests of Connecticut citizens are not heard and an overwhelming Democratic majority controls the agenda.  In the past year alone, Connecticut taxpayers have suffered the largest tax increase in the State’s history and continue to endure economic hardships and high unemployment rates.

“I commend the work of the committee, and look forward to swift resolution of the congressional district lines.”
