About Chairman Jerry Labriola, Jr.

Chairman Jerry Labriola, Jr. was elected to his second term as Connecticut Republican Party Chairman in 2013 after serving three terms as State Treasurer of the party and five years on the State Central Committee, representing the 34th senatorial district including Wallingford, North Haven, and East Haven.  He also serves on the 168 member Republican National Committee.

Born and raised in Naugatuck, Jerry graduated from Naugatuck High School in 1975 and received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Gettysburg College in 1979. He went on to attend law school at Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. where he earned his law degree in 1982. During law school, Jerry served as a summer intern at the United States Department of Justice. He was admitted to the Connecticut bar in 1983 and is currently a partner in the firm of Labriola & Labriola, LLC of Naugatuck with his brother, State Representative David Labriola (R-131). Additionally, Chairman Labriola served as Naugatuck Town Attorney from 1989-1991.

In addition to his positions within the state party, Jerry has also served as State Chairman of the Connecticut Young Republicans from 1982-1984, Vice-Chairman of the Wallingford Charter Revision Commission in 1993, member of the Wallingford Board of Assessment Appeals from 1994 until 2008, and has been a member of the Wallingford RTC since 1989. In his spare time, Chairman Labriola plays keyboards and sings backing vocals in the Watertown-based pop/rock cover band known as The Potentials. Jerry also loves soccer and was the head coach of the Ansonia High School girls’ soccer program from 2007 to 2011.

In 2010 Chairman Labriola was honored to be the Republican nominee for congress in the 3rd Congressional District. One of his television ads, known as “old spice” garnered national attention and was widely accepted as one of the best TV commercials of the 2010 election cycle.

Chairman Labriola currently resides in Wallingford with his wife Barbara, the Town Clerk of Wallingford, and his family.
